Dean Nolle

Dean Nolle grew up on the shores of Lake Minnetonka in Minnetonka, Minnesota. He attended high school in Chatham, New Jersey, graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio with a B.A. in Political Science and History, and later earned an M.S. degree in Educational Leadership. While at Wittenberg, he played varsity hockey and golf. After graduating, Mr. Nolle worked his way up to Vice President at J.P. Morgan Chase Asset Management and BlackRock Mutual Funds. In 2004, he followed his dream of teaching and joined the faculty of American Heritage School. He taught Advanced Placement Economics, Advanced Placement Government, and Honors World Religion. In 2007, Mr. Nolle left the classroom to become an Assistant Dean of Students at American Heritage; and in 2011, he was promoted to Dean of Students. He has helped supervise numerous clubs, organizations, and athletic teams at AHS. He currently serves as the “voice” of the Patriots, announcing the home football games and other sporting events. In April, 2016, Mr. Nolle was inducted into the New Jersey High School Hockey Hall of Fame.Mr. Nolle has three children. His oldest attends the University of Alabama, majoring in Nursing. His other two children attend high school at American Heritage.

Natalie Cashman Principle of Summer Education

Natalie Cashman is a native New Yorker and has lived in Plantation, Florida since 1980. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in History from Florida Atlantic University and began working at American Heritage School 16 years ago. Mrs. Cashman started out teaching AP Human Geography, Honors World History, and Honors American History and moved into the role of Social Studies Department Chair four years later. In 2010, she shifted out of the classroom to serve as Assistant Dean of Students, the position she holds today. Mrs. Cashman is also extremely involved in the AHS community as head of the Interclub Council (ICC), as well as the adviser of the Key Club and One Planet United. Her passion for helping others extends to her local community where she has been involved at her church and as a member of the Junior League. She is married to her high school sweetheart and enjoys raising her daughter, Meagan, who attends American Heritage School. Mrs. Cashman invites you to join us this summer where your child can study under our highly qualified American Heritage instructors and advance to his/her highest potential.

Meet our Principals American Heritage Summer Education South Florida

Kristina Shahin has over 19 years of experience in education. She earned her National Board Teaching Certification in elementary education and taught in the classroom for 11 years. Mrs. Shahin holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with an additional certification in Sports Management, as well as a Masters Degree in School Administration for all levels. For the past 7 years, she has worked as a school counselor for both middle and high school students. The highlight of being a school counselor at American Heritage for Mrs. Shahin is assisting students and their families throughout the college planning process and celebrating with them as they are accepted into their top choice universities. This will be her 5th year as the Principal of American Heritage Summer School and 3rdyear as first Principal of the American Heritage Summer Institute for high achievers in PK3-12th grade.

Mrs. Shahin has three children. Her oldest son attends Mississippi College where he is an Electrical Engineering Major and plays football. Her younger children attend American Heritage Elementary and Middle School.
